Artificial moon by Gallynette is a fantastic Macro capture as well as journalistic given that it highlights the cold temperatures that some parts of the world have been feeling lately.

Did you know that soap bubbles can freeze in minus temperatures?

I discovered this after seeing that photo  Frozen Bubble by JessiesPhotography by JessiesPhotography and decided to try my luck! It's kind of a fascinating process but honestly, it's -35°C here lately, with a lot of wind, so it tends to break too fast (and I also tend to freeze faster than the bubble :D ). Will definitely try again!

EDIT: OMG Thank you so much for giving this photo a Daily Deviation!! I feel so glad about it!! :squee:
Thanks a lot to Great-Name for suggesting it and to Kaz-D for featuring it! :huggle:

I really like the framing of this shot. While I'm sort of a stickler for straight horizons, I can see how the tilted angle lends itself to a much better composure with the two ice blades on each side.

I don't know if it's just my monitor, but the ice seems a bit dark to me. I think the vignetting is a bit much, and seems to darken the photo a little too much.

I think I would have shot at f/4 or possible event f/2.8 just to get a little more light, as well as some bokeh to decrease a little distinction between the sharp ball of ice and the busyness of the background.

It's a really nice shot. I'm glad you shot this tight instead of from further back.
